Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions, which force certain parts of the body into abnormal, sometimes painful, movements or postures. Dystonia is not fatal, but is a chronic disorder with often unpredictable prognoses. Dystonia does not discriminate: It affects people of every race and ethnic group and one-third of Dystonia patients are children.

InterMed began business because we knew we could provide better service, the best working equipment, and top quality care – all at a lower cost. Now, in our 28th year of business, we have a powerful driving force that has given us inspiration to expand our idea of WHY we do business. Tyler’s Hope for a Dystonia Cure, InterMed’s official charity, inspires us to do more Good as we grow.

We’ve learned that in addition to the best products and service, customers also deserve to buy from a company that considers giving back to our community a privilege and a responsibility.

Watch as Ken Staab, former Director of Sales & Marketing at InterMed, shares about a topic that hits close to home, and his thoughts on how he and InterMed are assisting Tyler’s Hope in finding a cure for this devastating disease.
